was doing flag day selling the hearty pins for the singapore heart association at junction 8...it was so long since i last did my my last flag day...about 1 sem before... and i was quite surprised by the crowds in junction 8...not that they were too generous or very stingy ...we took an hr plus to sell the 25 pins that were assigned to each tin... but the ppl there was quite rude...somehow like those at orchard road...to me, what is considered rude is those ppl who doesn't even twitch an eyebrow when u ask them to donate...its like u are just a fly flying about...that they can't be bothered...talking about the rude ones we shall not forget the good ones who paid $10 for a pin when they didn't hve small change...thanks to them all who generously donated or acknowledged our presence. come to think of it ...besides our fund raising , there were like 2 other charities (the st school pocket money fund which i happily bought a teddy home and another "ulu" organisation which i hadn't heard of but were the only one s giving out the stickers) ...preparing to go for the much awaited dinner tonight outside tgcc...yup hope there will be 6 courses at least...still muching on bread now...lest i get hungry before the dinner! time to chill, i guess i realised the differences btw a poly and a jc...seriously no one will admire jc life...though they might envy jc students ...but my jc friends all wanted to bash me when i told them abt the life in poly...rather than being slacker...our system is really more flexible than theirs without having to mug for the much dreaded "A" levels...in poly i think the policy of teach less learn more applies...we hve little tutorial...mostly lectures...but u hve to do the independent learning on ur own...and whether u take pride in ur own studies is up to u ...so i guess they basically treat us like young adults though they spoon feed me with lots of biology ... for more information or detailed explanation on the differences...ur welcome to tag my board...thats all for today...what a long entry...=p
