went for a movie after months....its been quite a long time since i watched a movie...my last one was da vinci code...coincidentally...i met my sec school mates during both occasions at the same place( plaza singapura) ...nice meetings....=)
had a short but meaningful chat with shermeen!....=) hope to see my oldfriends soon...so do contact me for gatherings!
shall talk about the movie now...conclusion: it was a very well plotted show...all that notes and everything...will be anticipating the last name( continuation of death note 1)...the showreally make us ponderand wonder to ourselves what is the true justice behind? is killing criminals doing justice? or is it injustice killing the criminals only out ofthe reason that they did harm to human kind? is ita battle behind law vs justice? or is it a dilemma between the justice and the injustice? what is the true definition...i guess its all up to uropinion to decide...and about what u truly believes in...but it is a fight of the brains between light and 'L'...
and potato chips and chocolates? sweet vs salty? consomme flavour?... we shall be kept in suspense till the end of nov =)
but i definitely enjoy the movie without any doubt...slightly scary...quite funny...very mysterious...=)
p.s. but i really do think the L shldn't indulge in so much chocolates....and sweet stuff...lookslike a malnutriton teen...xp lol...=)

my msn nick for weeks...anwya, i hve changed it...and the blogger can't read the dots...so alll those funny words in my previous post are the dots from microsoft word...
gone. its never the same anymore...i wonder how come i feel so much affinity with that mechanical pencil...my first mechanical pencil that i have bought i guess...its a pentel e-sharp with a lead maximiser, user-friendly...have been so used to using those mechanical pencil that my pri sch teachers gave me in the past....
anyway, i just bought a new mechanical pencil...after dragging the loss for weeks...the colour...i chose the same colour ...green...with a lead maximiser...its a rolly from pental this time...though there are many similarities...it will nvr be the same again...i guess its smt that can nvr be replaced...like first love? maybe i shldn't comment on this since i hve never been in love before...but there are some things or feelings that can nvr be retrieved once the crucial moment is over...so grab the chance when you still have it...do not wait...and drag...once its over, it will never be the same again.
even if u fail...you know you hve tried hard enough...the rule applies to everything in life...so grab your opportunity.=p

Its been more than 10 days since I have blogged…miss sharing all my views and reflections with everyone out there who has been followers of my entries…firstly I will thank those who have read my entries closely…do feel free to tag=) I will love to hear from all of u…
Lets see what I have been up to all those days…been busy working and rushing lab reports during the public holidays… its hectic but at least u know u have plans ahead…and not a moment is wasted! …here I am trying to console myself…
Was watching one of the tables having a birthday celebration …it brought me to the thought that I was going to be 18 next year… what is the most meaningful things I have done during the last 17 years? What has been my most memorable birthday? What will I find most meaningful to have as a birthday gift? What do I want to spend doing to make my life more meaningful in the future?
Okay…first I guess the most important thing is to define meaningful …I guess to me it means…being able to feel a sense of satisfaction from all things you have accomplished…one of the most typical example is helping people…
I shall ponder hard and give you all an answer before my birthday…=)
Digressing…has been mixing around with the boys at my workplace…there is something they lacked…they did not have a sense of what they want to achieve in future….they hung around aimlessly after work…being nocturnal animals…I don’t know what they are planning to do with their youth…? Able-bodied strong young men…I guess the crucial thing to changing their lifestyle is to change their mindsets…we shall se about that…
Have u witnessed a person with only one mobile leg trying to ride a bicycle? Try to depict the scene in your mind…he is stepping on the paddle of the bike with one leg with the other leg dangling in the air…can u imagine how much pain it may hve took him to do this “stunt”….what’s the significance.?
To me it means a lot…it shows that there is nothing impossible in this world…who says u can only cycle with 2 legs….if anything is troubling u at the moment…try to break the norm…think out of the box…don’t not be tied dead to your troubles…there are more ways to solve it and there are more ways that u can try away from what is perturbing you! So be brave to face up to what u believe in…and I am sure happiness and freedom will come and approach you….so do be optimistic!
What an old cliché: when life gives you a lemon, turn it into a glass of lemonade!

is it agreeable that poly actaully have more practicals? i think so...we actually do "bigger" experiments. bigger as in more interesting and in a larger scale and invovles more risk... had 2 interesting practicals in the lab on monday...here is how it goes:
we dissect a pig's eye and we actually managed to scoop some bacteria,(canadian ...and some bacillus thing...)on the glass and view it under the microscope. wasn't able to see it moving due to my poor eyesight but i managed to get quite a gdview of it...everyone in the class seems pretty excited about the new ventures ... dissecting a pig's head is not as disgusting as we thought ...its just like an object after holding it for a longtime....though it feels slimy and cold at first.
during character development...(somewhat unrelated to our field of study)we had to built the tallest structure...one ofthe key to hving the strongest and tallest structure includes having a very good foundation...my lecturerclaims it is related to the character...as for my assumption i think a good character is nurtured from young...so that we will not be easily influenced and succumb to temptation when we get older... any way we had fun building it and trying to figure how the boys structure could withstand the blow...
sighs...experiments can be fun while u are doing but the problematic things comes in when u are assigned to write a report for it...-.-"
do hve fun in school, my fellow friends!

just gotten my contacts...wearing it for the first time in my life...shall share on the ways to take care of ur contact lenses ( as how an optometrist should be advising their patients=)) actually i wanted dailies as i don't wish to wear them so often, but there was only weeklies available for my high myopic degree, so its take it or leave it...
advantages of wearing contact lens.
firstly there are two types of lenses available: soft lens and hard lens. most wearers prefer soft lens cause its (as the name suggests its soft).its more comfortable on the eye and feels as if there is nothing on your eyes at all. u feel comfortable wearing it and of course ...without the burden of your specs weighing on your nose bridge...therefore as an end result u will feel more self confidence and have an illusion that u actually hve perfect vision. =)
disadvantages
by wearing something so close to your cornea, you are obliged to hve good hygiene practices...so here comes the responsibility of taking care of your contacts...first, u must use saline or multipurpose soln to rub ur lenses after u hve worn them . then, u will have to change the soln in the container that stores ur lenses everytime u take out and use your lenses. throw away the container after 2 months and clean the container every 2 weeks. seems like a lot of trouble to me...but i think its good to place urself in the shoes of other lens werers to be a very caring optometrist...=) i wish myself the best wearing it in such hazy conditions. =p

yes! its the much awaited mooncake festival! what do u look forward for during the festival? a reunion dinner with ur family? mooncakes in an array of shapes and sizes? walking around in parks with a lantern? i guess the worst thing is polluting the air by burning all that papers and candles and playing with that sparkles...sighs...how come the kids don't never get enough of it... now its worse with the haze..sighs...wonder how we are going to see the full moon in this atmosphere...hmm...i think i just hve to be very contented this mid autumn fest to be happy!
Gems( general elective programme) was a disaster...i never thought i would create such an art piece...maybe i was too distant from all that art after such a long time...i shall cross my fingers and hope the teacher doesn't give me a d for it...to think gems help ur gpa...its not as easy as the name suggests...i do hope i will hve as much fun as my friends are all hving=p
HAPPY MOONCAKE FESTIVAL!

although its like $2 per item...you will find that u are always spending more than u should there...=p -.-" sighs.

the first week of term 2. school reopened. i seen lots of different people and behaviour this week...
there were nice ones...and rude ones...people who u will sympathise and people that will just make ur day brighter...
the canteen uncle who collects the used utensils in my most frequented canteen smile at me for the first time! it was really heartwarming.
this guy in collared shirt...nice suit...gave us a snobbish look( he looked up and pretended he didn't mind) when we were walking out of the lift...he looks as if we owe it to him and like we are wasting his precious time. i cannot believe people can be rude to that extent...
an educated fellow...and a less educated man...whats the difference education can make...(except making the educated feel dominant...and the less educated less confident in himself)
if education blinds the eye to the least basic respect for the other mankind...
does education really do us goodand no harm?
does educated people set their sights higher and neglect what is happening...
went out to dine with my family and notice this teen who looked familiar eating dinner alone...upon checking with my family... i realise that he was from a torn family...he used to be my neighbour...i can nvr forget the empty look in his eyes...it didn't matter that he was dining alone...it mattered because he was downcasted...i wish there was smt i could do to help him...but it seemed like there wasn't....i did not know how to reach out to this teens who are depressed...
in our times ...there are many teens now...who are able-bodied...yet its a shame to see them wasting their time and youth in that manner...loitering streets , smoking ...and doing all the wrong things at the wrong times...
i had a chance to talked to one of my colleagues about his life...apparently he is a smoker with lots of girlfriends from a single parent ...he has been smoking since sec 3...a very nice teammate to work with ...he admits that he is not very good-looking but says he can't help it with so many girlfriends...he rides a bike without a license cause he is only 18. born in 15 april 1988...he leads a very different life compared to many 18 year old friends i hve...he likes the way he is living...he says it is interesting ...he is from a gang...has quite a number of followers because other teens admires him for what he has courage to do and wants their life to be as happening as his...( he is a full timer...cause he dropout from school...due to some conflicts...a senior of mine cause he used to studied in sp...) he never thought he could make it to poly until a teacher approached him and told him that all the other teachers thinks he is a junk and asked him " do u think u are a junk? if not then u prove it to me"...the risk taking nature was shown ...when he put down random choices of what course he wants to take and tossed a coin to determine his future path...there was nothing i can comment on...it was totally out of the world when he told me what he did with his life...he used to hve a jap girlfriend and learnt how to speak in jap...not only that...he can speak malay...and many other languages although he is only a chinese. at the end of the day...i realised i live in a protected environment...my friends seem to be all good company...and it made me forget that there are so many out there who are so different...and lead such a different life...the only thing i told him after his narrate all his adventures...is ...do what u think is right...and nvr regret the life u lead...=) he smile to me and told me.."yes,i am conscious of what i am doing and enjoying it..."
----
how do u react when u see old friends and familiar faces? recently saw a couple of my old school mates while i was working.....they were outside the restaurant...so i merely watch them go...if they saw me and recognise me ..especially when there is eye contact, i will not hesistate to wave...if they were my close friends...i will definitely go up and embrace them...kidding...
although i'm always shy to go up to them, it will definitely be a great joy to be acknowledged for they treat u as friends...so i often feel bad when i hve the opportunity to do so but i don't take action. so i wish to encourage all to acknowledge your friends! =)
